Aesop Institute's energy work began in 1973, when it seemed combining solar and wind energy might be a path to reducing the need for fossil fuels. In 1975 that resulted in formal incorporation and the launching of SunWind Ltd. as the first commercial affiliate. Extensive research was conducted on advanced approaches to wind power. Wind seemed promising not only to power homes and industry, but vehicles as well. An electric drive for a freeway capable Windmobile prototype was created. However, financing could not be found for production. A search followed for breakthrough fossil-free propulsion systems that could be incorporated into existing automotive vehicle designs. As a result, Magnetic Power Inc. (MPI) superseded SunWind in 1984. Room Temperature Superconductors Inc. (RTS) became an MPI subsidiary in 1993, in order to commercialize polymer Ultraconductors™. Almost 1,000 samples of these remarkable, ambient temperature materials were independently created by another firm for the USAF. Chava Energy is acquiring assets of MPI and RTS and is accelerating the development of these, as well as other, cost-competitive, revolutionary energy technologies. One example is ECHO™ - Energy from Collapsing Hydrogen Orbits. ECHO makes possible a SPICE™ - Self Powered Internal Combustion Engine. One gallon of ordinary water might power a hybrid car powered by a SPICE for 1,000 miles of driving. The parked vehicle is expected to be able to sell electricity to the local utility. Such cars and trucks might pay for themselves.
A Human Investment Tax Credit Program was first suggested in 1975. It aimed at generating up to 6 million new jobs and providing incentives for up to 4 million new entrepreneurs. A few of the tax credits were tested in 1977. They created 2.1 million jobs, 20% of all jobs generated in the following year. An updated program is available here. Employment tax incentives can readily be refined and voted into law. That should become an urgent order of business for the Congress.
The Brooklyn Project on this website, presently in embryo, outlines our educational program.
Aesop Institute is a non-profit organization. Contributions to support the work are welcome. Although previously 501C3 tax exempt; tax exemption has been allowed to expire, as we intend to attempt to influence legislation.
